A Child Hood Grown Up

As a kid I grew up on Nas music. From "I Can" to "One Mic." You probably thinking how the hell was you raised on this raw stuff. As a kid I loved music. Classic music. Real music.

I was probably 6 years old when I first really listened to his music. My father picked me up from school and he had "I Can" playing in the car. My father was asking me how was school but I was distracted by this music. I couldnt answer my father till he turned it down. But I said good quickly trying to end the convo so I can listen to the song. When the convo ended he turned it up. And as soon as I heard the little girl leading the chanting I envied her sooo much I wanted to be her!! But I just started singng along. I even learned how to play the song in the background by Beethoven on the piano. Ever since then I'm his biggest fan.

But I was getting some shoes for school when I came across his album. I was already hip to his siigle "Daughters." Well my father got me hip. We bought the album and we realised that this is as real as its gonna get. I originally thought that his music wouldnt get played on the radio because its so real and til this day I havent heard it on the radio. But it hasnt gone unrecognized.

Songs like "Accident Murderers" tie into the reality that know one wants to know about. The beat let alone speaks for itself. Lyrics such as "...these two different personalities had to collide niggas could not aim and innocent niggas died. you ask why, cause of a accident murderer, act like you killed him on purpose. liars brag you put in work, you aint mean to murk him your guns a virgin. streets are full of them read the bulletin. Accident murderer, your just an accident murderer" point out how ones "streets hottest youngin'" coulld be as soft as any other civilian.

This album is something that speaks to the youth. And I  think, personally that people should really take in to the fact that he knows what he is talkng about because he once was our age. He once did things that you claimed you've done before. He's not afraid to speak or tell his story through song.
